Western Bluebirds

JCK_150411_0510Bluebirds have always been elusive for me. I catch sight of one and in a flash it’s gone. On a recent trip to Heather Farm Community Park I got a chance to get pretty close. A long lens helps. I was grateful. Oddly enough when I got home and set to work on my camping trailer, a Bluebird alit on the fence just outside the window. He kept flying into the window with a thump. When I looked outside I noticed that the windows are mirror coated so I surmise that he was attacking what he thought was an intruder. Later, I caught him on the handle of a wheelbarrow.
