Shuttle Endeavor’s last flight

In September of 2012, the Space Shuttle Endeavor was being ferried to it’s final resting place in southern California. I had heard that it would pass through the Bay Area and make a loop around the Bay before heading south. My friend John Wright and I puzzled over where to get the best shots. We took a chance and went to the highest local peak surrounding the bay, Vollmer Peak (1904′), in Tilden Park. There are cell towers and a flat area at the peak and we were actually above the Shuttle looking back to the City.

Bubbles

One day, while wandering through Heather Farm park, we came upon a dad with a huge bubble apparatus. He was having a great time entertaining the kids and I managed to get this shot.
